Evelyn Lavada Goodwin, 79, of Maryland Highway, Swanton, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.

Born August 22, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Stickley. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, John H. Stickley, James Thomas “Tom” Stickley and Mary Violet Duckworth.

Evelyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her husband, Junior Goodwin, three daughters, Diana Stewart of McCoole, Diona Pownell of Swanton, Kimberly Goodwin of Keyser, WV, one son, Bobby Goodwin and wife Darlene of Westernport, seven grandchildren, Rockie Dwayne Stewart, Sarah Stewart, JoAnna Kight, Jessica Wilson, Steven Wilson, Kristy Reed, and Ashley Warnick.  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and a special niece, Rhonda Myers.

At Evelyn’s request she was cremated.

There will be no visitation or services.

At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
