Ernest Keith Kelly, 87, formerly of McMullen Highway, Rawlings, and most recently of Piney Valley, Keyser, WV, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born November 9, 1929 in Allegany County, he was the son of the late Allan F. and Thelma (Schramm) Kelly. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Wills.
Ernie was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He retired from Meade-Westvaco having been a calendar operator. He was a longtime member of the Westernport Church of the Brethren, and a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Carol Lee (Burke) Kelly, a daughter, Terri Kelly and Jimmy Owens of Houston, TX, two sisters, Erma Landis of McCoole and Allene Sowers of Keyser, WV.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, September 18th from 1 to 3 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Monday, September 18th at the funeral home, with Rev. William Shimer officiating.
