Elwood Cecil Custer Jr., 74, of Maryland Highway, Swanton, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Moran Manor Nursing Center, Westernport.
Born April 4, 1943 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Gaver and Clara (Paugh) Wilson.
Cecil was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Baltimore. He was a member of Folly Run Sportsman Club and Cecil never met a stranger.
He leaves behind four brothers, Allen W. Custer of Frostburg, Riley E. Wilson and wife Wanda of Baltimore, Dwight N. Wilson of Swanton, P. Russell Wilson and wife Claudia of Swanton, three sisters, Myrna Edmonson and husband Jackie of Naylor, GA, Paula A. Tasker and husband Chris of Deer Park and Karen Riggleman and husband Fred of Burlington, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, August 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 11th at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in the Paugh Family Cemetery, with military honors accorded at graveside.
