Eleanor Wilson

Eleanor E. Wilson, 90, of Westernport passed away on November 18, 2021.

Born October 12, 1931 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Lillie (Metz) Ross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Wilson on November 11, 1977; son, Robert P. Wilson on June 7, 1972; and brother, Ervin Ross.

Eleanor was a graduate of Barton High School class of 1949 and Catherman’s Business School in Cumberland. She retired from Westvaco with 44 years of service. Eleanor was a member of the Barton Alumni Association and the Westernport United Methodist Church.

Eleanor enjoyed growing tomatoes, flowers, gardening, feeding the birds and doing puzzle books.

She is survived by her loving son, Edward L. Wilson and wife, Trina; granddaughter and the apple of her eye, Carlee E. Wilson; step granddaughter, Leah M. Moran, all of Swanton. Eleanor is also survived by her niece, Deborah L. Knipe of Martinsburg, WV; a special friend, Bobbie Kaye Kelley-Cook; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Monday, November 22nd from 12 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan.

Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
