Edwin Howard “Eddie” Broadwater, 69, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, July 26th, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born October 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Howard and Theresa (Broadwater) Broadwater. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Harley Broadwater, Kenny Broadwater, Garland Broadwater and Austin Broadwater.
Eddie never met a stranger, he had many friends and was very special to everyone. He loved to ride school busses and enjoyed playing the keyboard and harmonica. There was always a special place in his heart for his mother, she meant so much to him. Eddie will be greatly missed by many people.
He leaves behind two brothers; Allen Broadwater of Westernport, Paul Broadwater and wife Veinna of Aaron’s Run and two sisters; Rosaline Courtney of Keyser, WV and Ina Pearl Shillingburg of Arizona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 29th at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Mike Wyatt officiating.
Eddie’s family would especially like to thank his caretakers and daycare center for the special love and care they showed to him.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
