Edward Evans Kellison

Grantsville, Maryland

Edward Evans Kellison, 82, a resident of Goodwill Nursing Home, Grantsville, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2025 into the arms of Jesus.

Ed was the son of the late Cecil Kellison and Freda Oester Kellison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Kasmier Kellison; son, Michael Kellison; and a sister.

Ed was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked at the Celanese for 17 years and then Mineral Fabrication for 20 years where he was a very talented fabricator.

Ed is survived by his personal representatives, brother-in-law, Kevin Kasmier and sister-in-law, Gayle Kasmier. He is also survived by his in-laws, James “Sam” (“Mikey”) Kasmier, Treva (Dave) Steiding, Jeff Kasmier (Marsha Carpenter), and Sheila (Johnny) Hurst. Also surviving are his close cousins, Debbie (Jay) Henderson, and other cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, friends, and the staff of Goodwill Nursing Home.

Kevin and Gayle would like to thank all the Hospitalists and nursing staff at UPMC Western Maryland for their wonderful care when Ed was a patient there. They would like to thank their Pastor Randy Leatherman II, for his prayers and visits with Ed while at UPMC. Also, a very special thanks to their good friend, Pastor Bruce McBride, Director of Pastoral Care at UPMC, for his visits and prayers and especially for assisting Ed in renewing/affirming his salvation with Jesus. Words cannot express their immense thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Tuel of Goodwill Nursing Home, who provided excellent care, and were Ed’s family and friends while he resided there since December 2024.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday, October 26th from 2 to 4 p.m.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Donna Leatherman officiating. To honor Ed’s service in the US Army, military honors will take place at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the NRA.
