Edith Rosalie Sterling, 95, of Donna St, Westernport, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at her residence.

Born April 7, 1918 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Norris) Riggleman.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Sterling, two grandsons, Paul Robert Gordon and Greg Gordon, and seven siblings, Viola Kenner, Myrtle Riggleman, Clarence Riggleman, Louis Riggleman, Melvin Riggleman, Elwood Riggleman, and Hilda Haggerty.

Mrs. Sterling was a homemaker.  She was a long time member of the Piedmont Church of God.

She leaves behind one daughter, Rosalie Pahle of Johnstown, PA, three sons, Raymond J. “Butch” Sterling and wife Dottie of Westernport, William B. “Buster” Sterling of Westernport, Thomas R. Sterling and special friend, Cookie Weimer of Keyser, WV, three sisters, Thelma Miller and husband Vernon of Keyser, WV, Gladys Potts of Little Orleans, and Ruby Leininger of Lebanon, PA.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lorrie Moore and Brent Sterling, nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Robert Daniels officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
