As a faithful member of the church, she was involved in the Woman’s Mission group, sang in the choir, and she also taught Sunday school and Bible school. Dorothy served on the general election board for the Town of Westernport for 20 years.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jeannie Dadgostar and husband, Mansoor of Berkley Springs, WV, Sue Kimble and companion, Mike Leary of Stephens City, VA, and Steve Beavers and wife, Diane of Rawlings. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her baby sister, Peggy Paul and husband, Garry of Meyersdale, PA.
Dorothy’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sterling Care for their care and compassion during her final few weeks of care, the Mountain Laurel Medical Center staff and Nurse Practitioner Kim Maynard, as well as Dorothy’s loving neighbors who kindly stopped by to visit her.
At Dorothy’s request, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shane Beavers Scholarship Fund at M&T Bank.
