Dora Kyle Wilson, 90, formerly of Westernport, and most recently of Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at the nursing center.

Born May 11, 1927 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Martha (Bradley) Kyle.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Warden Wilson Sr. in 1980, a daughter, Martha Louise “Martie” Alt, seven brothers, Ernie, Harrison, Richard, Jimmy, Clarence, Melvin and Floyd Kyle, three sisters, Emily Inskeep, Ella Spiker and Mary Robertson, and a friend and companion, Svend Sheppard.

Dora was a 1946 graduate of Barton High School.  She was so proud of attending 71 consecutive years of her alumni association banquet.  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Westernport, and a member of Victory Unit #155 Ladies Auxiliary, Westernport.

She leaves behind her children, Fred Wilson and wife Liz of Corona, CA, Barbara Ann Moore and husband Francis of Stafford, VA, John “Turk” Wilson and wife Kitty of Keyser, WV, two sisters, Leona Pringle of York, PA and Ruth Wilson of Frostburg.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Dorene VanMeter, Daniel Wilson, James Moore, Derick Wilson, and Christopher Alt and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, October 5th from 11 AM to 2 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Thursday at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Sally Bartling officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
