Donnie D. Tichnell

Donnie D. Tichnell, 82, of Swanton passed away on January 25, 2024.

Born February 2, 1941 in Swanton, he was the son of the late Abner Kelly and Iva (Paugh) Tichnell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Daryl Tichnell, Mike Tichnell, Austin Tichnell, and Gerald Tichnell; and one sister, Josephine.

Donnie was formerly employed at Truman Taxi Service of Westernport as a driver and was also once employed by Bausch & Lomb in Oakland.  

Donnie is survived by his daughters, Carol Bargy and husband, Bud and family, Donna Godlove and children Iva and William Godlove; sisters, Hilda Claycomb, Doris Christenopher; and brother, Robert Tichnell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, January 30th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George H. Tichinel and Rev. Carol Bargy officiating. 

Interment will be at the Tichnell Cemetery, Swanton.
