Donna Eileen Poland Michael 68 of Westernport, passed away on, Sunday April 14, 2024 at home.
She was born in Keyser, WV on February 5, 1956, to Charles “Bill” Poland and Eileen Jonosha Poland. She joined her sister, Carole Ann, in their home in Piedmont, WV. After moving to Westernport, when Donna was in the 6th grade, she graduated from Bruce High School class of 1974. She went on to graduate from Allegany Community College as a registered nurse. For many years, Donna worked at Sacred Heart Hospital as an OB/GYN nurse. Donna retired after 24 years of service as a Public Health Nurse Supervisor on the Jackson/Massie Addiction units.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Bill Poland and her son Jack Issacs Mullen, III
She is survived by her mother, Eileen Poland, her husband, David Michael, her daughter January Diamond and husband Andrew. Two precious grandchildren, Evie Eileen and Everett William Diamond.
She leaves behind her only sister, Carole Ann Kenny and husband, Bill Kenny. Nephews, Billy, Brian, and Matthew Kenny. Father and Mother-in-law, Wayne and Helen Michael and sister in laws, Robin Spiker and Lisa Herman.
Donna loved to travel and spent many years visiting Mrytle Beach. She was an avid golfer and kept a beautiful home and garden.
Friends and family will be received at Boal Funeral Home, in Westernport, Wednesday 2-4 p.m. 7-9 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Thursday 11 a.m.
Inurnment will be private at Philos Cemetery, Westernport MD
The family would like to thank the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Potomac Valley Hospital, Doctor K. Sdrimas, his nurse, Pam and Doctor Zamon, and WMHS home and hospice care.
