Donald Ashby, Sr.

Donald Charles Ashby, Sr., 76, of Keyser passed away on January 12, 2022.

Born on February 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (Tasker) Ashby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ashby; and a son-in-law from marriage, Tom Frantz.

Donald was a 1963 graduate of Bruce High School. He loved his bird Sparky and vacationing at the beach in Ocean City. Donald had a passion for his Ford Fairlane and enjoyed attending antique car shows. He had a vast collection of model cars and Coke memorabilia.

Donald is survived by his children, Donald Ashby, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Keyser and Karen Heavener and husband, Wayne of Keyser; and his children from marriage, Lisa Frantz of PA and Bobby Heaton and wife Marsha of PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Ashby and wife, Samantha, Joshua Ashby and wife, Tiffany, Autumn Heavener and partner, Jakob Hardman, Kaitlin Heavener, Holly Frantz and Timmy Frantz; and his great grandchildren, Kayden, Rylee and Callaway Ashby.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, January 15th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Idleman officiating.

Interment will be at Tasker Cemetery, Cross, WV
