Dolores Ann Boal, 78, formerly of Hamill Ave, Bloomington, and most recently of Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the nursing center.

Born June 29, 1933 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Marion (Bever) Warnick.  Her husband in 2010, Robert David Boal, also preceded her in death.

Dolores worked for the Allegany Board of Education for fifteen years as an instructional assistant.  She then worked for the Garrett County Board of Education as an instructional assistant for seventeen years, at Bloomington School.  Dolores loved working with children and greatly enjoyed her job.  Dolores was an intelligent, talented person.  She was an avid reader.  She was also an excellent pianist and vocalist.  Dolores enjoyed writing poetry, as well as, short stories.  Most of all, Dolores loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was a “people person.”  Dolores was extremely proud of her three grandsons.  She attended hundreds of their sports events over the years, and thoroughly enjoyed herself.  Dolores was a person who lived by The Golden Rule and demonstrated it in every aspect of her life.  She was a member of the Bloomington United Methodist Church.  She taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was accompanist for many years.  Her church family was also an important part of her life.  She was a member the Eastern Star and was a founding member of the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad.

She leaves behind two daughters, Autumn Mancuso and husband Kevin of Mt. Savage, Amber Wills and husband Kelly of Williamsburg, VA, a sister, Judy Wilson and husband Paul of Bloomington, and three grandsons, Brady Engle of Frostburg, Jordan Wills and Blake Wills, both of Williamsburg, VA.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Gary Rankin officiating.

Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.

The family would like to extend thanks to the Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent, professional care.  They became an important part of our lives over the past five years.
