Delores Cecilia Smith, 84, formerly of Luke, and most recently of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin, Ohio.
Born August 30, 1930 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late George and Beulah (Weir) Winner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. “Jock” Smith in 2010.
Delores was a graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, homemaker, and a former member of the Luke Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Her life, well lived was full. Full of laughter, love, her family, her friends and many hobbies such as watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
She leaves behind a son, Kevin Smith and wife Jackie of Hilliard, OH, a daughter, Diane Sliger and husband Charlie of Westernport, three brothers, George Winner of Rockville, Larry Winner of Frostburg, Raymond Winner of Hagerstown, a sister, Judy Winner of Cumberland and five grandchildren, C.R. Sliger, Brendan Sliger, Courtney Smith, Samantha Smith, and Luke Smith.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, June 26th from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday, June 26th at 1:00 PM at the funeral home chapel, with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
