Delia Ahern

May 14, 1958 — August 20, 2021

Delia Joanne Ahern (Miss Dee) was born on March 14, 1958, and went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.

She waits in heaven for her two sons, Jarrod Lutes, of Frostburg, and Kenneth Lutes, of Kyle, Texas, married to Jennifer Lutes; her daughter, Kylie Skidmore, of Frostburg, married to Wray Skidmore; and adopted daughter, Rose-Marie Lutes with her partner Josiah Geasey.

She is survived by her siblings, Timothy Keckley, Jeannie Moore, Angela Groves, and Theresa Saville; her father, Bill Keckley; and grandchildren, Kya, Kaitlyn, Lana, Chloe, Luna and Phoenix.

Her brother, Bub Keckley, preceded her in death in 2016.
She was a mother/grandmother to so many more.

She had an active role at The First Assembly of God in Westernport working with the nursery and the MOPS group when she first started attending there in 2005.

Later, when the Game Center opened, she ensured she was there every week to "love on" those kids.

She is loved and remembered by so many.

Prior to living in Westernport, she served 10 years in the Marine Corps where she learned to have pride in all that she does.

The Marine Corps is where she met her very best friend, Jeannie Heckler, who has been there by her side every step of the way for over 40 years.

She was a woman of short stature but with a heart larger than life.

Prior to passing, she spoke of getting to see her oldest son, David Christopher, who passed in 2010, her late husband, Rich, who passed in 2016, and her mom, who also passed many years ago.

Dee lived a full life. A life filled with love and laughter. A life that left a legacy to those around her.
