Dallas Mason

Keyser, WV

Dallas William Mason, 77, of Rt. 3, Keyser, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born August 19, 1936 at Cross, WV, he was the son of the late Dallas Eugene and Nora Thelma (Wilson) Mason.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Hamilton, and two infant siblings, Linda and Luther Mason.

Mr. Mason was a United State Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War.  He was retired from Westvaco Corp, with 41 years of service, having been a machine operator in the 8 and 9 machine room.

He leaves behind his former wife, Jean (Rounds) Mason of Keyser, WV, four daughters, Judith Mason of Burlington, WV, Linda Lancaster of Burlington, WV, Barbara Barnard of Keyser, WV, and Kathryn Bradford of Westernport, MD, two sons, Donald Mason of Swanton, MD, and Jason Mason of Keyser, WV, one brother, Lloyd Eugene Mason of Keyser, WV, two sisters, Norma Cayton of Keyser, WV, and Betty Tichnell of Swanton, MD.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Garrett Carskadon officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
