Cora Lee Fazenbaker

Cora Lee (Inskeep) Fazenbaker, 82 of Barton, Maryland, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Born July 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cora (Stephens) Inskeep.

Cora Lee was a 1956 graduate of Valley High School.  She attended Catherman’s Business School in Cumberland and was later employed at Westvaco’s Luke mill.

In 1958, she married Harry Ellis “Ellie” Fazenbaker.  She would dedicate herself to her children and their many pursuits including scouting, athletics, and school activities.  Later on, she would continue to nurture the growing generations of her family and to support countless charitable causes.  With a giving heart, she was forever humble and kind.

A devout Christian, she was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Barton.

She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Kroll and brothers Cecil “Bud” Inskeep, Russell Inskeep, Kenneth Inskeep, and Richard Inskeep.

Cora Lee is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ellie; five children, son, Stephen Fazenbaker (Kristan), Frostburg, MD; daughter, Deborah Shockey (John, Sr), Lonaconing, MD; son, Randall Fazenbaker (Cristine), Winchester, VA; son, Rodney Fazenbaker (Regina), Mt. Holly, NC; and daughter, Kimberly Kyle (Brian), Barton, MD.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Shockey Jr., Stephen Fazenbaker (Jenn), Christopher Shockey, Sean Fazenbaker, Slater Hafer (Whitney), Cody Fazenbaker, Stephanie Fazenbaker, (fiancé Ryan), Matthew Fazenbaker, Jacob Kyle, Noah Fazenbaker, Jacob Hafer, Kara Kyle, and Isaac Fazenbaker; and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Shockey, Liam Fazenbaker, Ellie Sue Fazenbaker, Eliya Kyle, and Waylon Shockey.

She is also survived by brother, William Inskeep of Bel Air, MD, many nieces and nephews, and her lifetime best friend Kay Hobel of Barton.

Family and friends will be received at Boal Memorial Chapel, 19008 Legislative Road, Barton, Maryland 21521, on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m.  Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating.  As per her wishes, cremation will follow.

A private family inurnment will be held Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Mountain View Cemetery.
