Claudia June Beeman, 81, of Barton, Maryland passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Sterling Care, Frostburg Village with her family by her side.
Born June 27, 1940 Claudia was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Michael) Miller. She was proceeded in death by a son, Donald L Beeman Jr., granddaughter Ashley Cooper, sister Barbara Clark, sister Janie Doolan and father-in-law and mother-in-law Perry and Alma Beeman.
Claudia and Donald Beeman began their lives together by marriage, April 25, 1959. She is survived by Donald L Beeman, four children, Kim (Rick) Cooper, Carlos, Terry (Lori) Beeman, Westernport, Amy (Kirk) Engle, Eldersburg and Tina (Preston) Thomas, Damascus. Grandchildren, Kenny (Katrina) Cooper, Amanda Cooper, Lee (Michelle) Beeman, Ryan (Erica) Beeman, Ellen Engle (Rob Wygal), Nathan Engle (Alexa Garbis), Patrick Engle and Jackson Thomas. Great grandchildren, Cameron Cooper, Owen and Kaden Cooper, Carson and Emmett Beeman and Oli and Lucy Beeman. Two brothers, John (Claire) Miller, Baltimore, Michael Burke, Westernport and Brother-in-law Jim Clark, Barton. She is also survived by numerous, cousins, nieces and nephews. Claudia also had four bonus daughters, the late Holly Metz, Lori Muir, Mary Pinder, Kay Llewellyn and special friend Josh Stevens.
Claudia was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 1958. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was known throughout the area for her homemade rolls and cinnamon rolls. Claudia served as a local Girl Scout Troop leader for many years. She was a former dispatcher for Tri-Towns Rescue Squad and worked as a cashier for Rich’s Grocery. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Barton Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary of the Barton American Legion, and current President of the George’s Creek Senior Retirement Club. Claudia enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and sporting events over the years.
Friends will be received at Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Tuesday, May 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. followed by graveside services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Cooper, Lee Beeman, Ryan Beeman, Nathan Engle, Patrick Engle, Jackson Thomas, Teddy Kirkwood, Wayne Nichol, Gene Kyle and Honorary Pallbearer Josh Stevens.
