Cheryl Dyer

Cheryl Lee (Clark) Dyer, 64, of Cumberland, MD, formerly of Westernport, MD, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

Born February 26, 1959 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Elva Jane (Johnston) Clark. She was also proceeded in death by her husband, Steven Dyer and her siblings, Vincent “Junior” Clark, Jr, Bernadette Arnold, Martha Howard, and Robert Clark, her in-laws, Marilyn and Bob Martin, and Malcolm Dyer; brother-in-law, Scott Dyer; nephew, Bobby Porier; and her grandson, Elijah “Eli” Babcock. 

Cheryl was a 1977 graduate of Bruce High School. She was a former employee at Quality Supplier in Keyser. Cheryl loved to play bingo, she loved fishing, and she loved animals. There wasn’t an animal alive that she didn’t think she could rescue and save. 

Cheryl is survived by her son, Steven Dyer II; The absolute lights of her life, her grandchildren, Tre Dyer, Gabriella Valentine, Vincent “Vinnie” Dyer, and Jayden LaRue; her sisters, Eva Clark Rodriguez and Elva Wagner, both of Texas; her brother, Marshall Clark, of Keyser, WV; brother and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Judy Porier, Michigan, and Pam and Dan Tuttle, Westernport, her great-grand puppies that she claimed as her own, Beamer and Kent; her girls and mothers of her grandchildren, Candice Valentine, Kasey Llewellyn, and Chelsea LaRue-Bradley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport to gather and celebrate Cheryl’s life on Sunday, February 18^th from 2 to 4 p.m.
