Born March 24, 1950 at Fort Meade, he was the son of the late Vernon W. and Mary Margaret (Custer) Warnick.

Charlie was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.  Charlie was an avid hunter, and card player with his uncles, Dave, Tommy, Bob, and Ed.  He was a member of the Lonaconing Trap Club until its closing, a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, and a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Barton.

He leaves behind his son, Charles William “Billy” Warnick Jr. and companion, Christina Huff of Lonaconing, a brother, Robert Warnick (Jane) of Naples, FL, two sisters, Diane Broadwater (Galen) of Barton, Phyllis Winner (Gerry) of LaVale, and a grandson, Lazarus Alexander Warnick.  He is also survived his nephews and nieces, Michael Broadwater (Vicky), Paula Healy (Patrick), Denny Ashby (Danielle), Kristina Kok (Matt), and several great nieces, great nephews, and uncles, and special friends, Catherine Ann Jenkins and Bill and Shirley Patton of Lonaconing.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday, February 20, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Barton, on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM, with Father Edward Hendricks as celebrant.
