Charles Elmer Pachinger, 68, of Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, formerly of Westlake, Ohio, went to Heaven on Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home.
Born June 18, 1947 in Berea, Ohio, he was the first child born to Charles Henry Pachinger and Genevieve “Bonnie” (Herman) Pachinger who have preceded him in death.
Charles was a 1965 graduate of Westlake High School. After 4 years in the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam, he received several awards, medals and commendations, including a bronze star. Charles worked 34 years at National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio and retired an Assistant Vice President in 2005.
He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife, Betty Ann, his step children, Jeffrey McAfee, Shawn Morrison, Sheri Morrison, grandchildren, Andriana, Joshua, Makayla, and Liam, great granddaughter, Reylin, brothers, William and Thomas Pachinger, nieces, Carrie and Jennifer and nephews, Brian and Kurt as well as five great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Tuesday, October 6th from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will be conducted following the visitation at the funeral home, on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Carl Lee officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, at Rocky Gap, with military honors accorded by Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
