Charles Lee “Hambone” McCutcheon, 86, of Moscow, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013, at hone with Hospice Services.

Born February 20, 1927 in Moscow, he was the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Fairgrieve) McCutcheon.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Glen Rose (Bostjancic); four brothers, John Ray, Olin, Robert and James and two sisters, Velma Worgan and Freda Noyes.  One sister, Ruth Nicol of Lonaconing and a brother, Harry of Moscow, are surviving family members.

Mr. McCutcheon was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Alaska.  He retired from Local #616 as a construction laborer.  He was the care provider for his 94 year old brother, Harry for many years.  Besides enjoying time spent with family watching baseball and football games, attending family gatherings and serving as a family handyman; he also enjoyed planting a summer garden.

Surviving are his daughter; Nancy Lee Evans and husband Ben of Lonaconing, and sons Charles Ray and wife Cynthia (Carr) of Barton, and Tommy Alan and wife Glenna (Lee) of Barton; seven grandchildren, Ben and Jesse Evans, Brian, Wesley and wife Carrie (Duckworth) McCutcheon, Brett and fiance’ Katie Neff of Charlotte, NC, Ashely (McCutcheon) Arceo and husband Abram of Baltimore, and Brandon Carr and girlfriend Krystal Lewis of Midland; great grandchildren Alexander and Amaya Arceo, Brady Alan McCutcheon and Zoey Carr.

Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Monday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Charles Winebrenner officiating.

Private interment services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Western Maryland Health Systems Hospice Services, 1050 Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD  21502.
