Charles William Legge, 80 of Maryland Avenue, Westernport passed away October 26, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born February 12, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles Richard Legge and Hazel (Flick) Legge DeWitt. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Riggleman and a brother, Kenneth Legge.

Charles was a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was retired from Westvaco where he worked in the finishing department.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Miller) Legge, Westernport; his son, Charles R. “Dick” Legge and wife Marcy, Westernport and his daughter, Diann Legge Cosgrove, Hyndman, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren; T.J. Jackson and wife Megan, Keyser, WV, Sarah Legge, Frostburg, Brian Legge, Westernport, Josh Cosgrove, Kadi Cosgrove, Kyler Cosgrove, Alex Cosgrove all of Hyndman, PA and a great granddaughter, Skylar Jackson, Keyser, WV. Charles is also survived by his brother, Evan DeWitt Jr. and wife Susan of Saltsburg, PA.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday, October 29th from 4 to 7 pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home chapel at 7:00 pm with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Tri-Towns Rescue Squad or the Potomac Fire Company.
