Charles Edward Kenner, 61, of Harvest Drive, Cumberland, formerly of Westernport, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2106 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, Cumberland.
Born April 5, 1955 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Jonas and Viola (Riggleman) Kenner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester Robert Kenner, and two sisters-in-laws, Frances (Crowe) Kenner and Pat (Blubaugh) Kenner.
Charlie loved dogs and dog books. He also participated in Special Olympics during his younger years, receiving several medals.
He leaves behind three brothers, Cecil Kenner of Midland, Richard Kenner and wife Mary Ann of Midland, and Erwin Kenner and wife Diane of Savage River. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday, July 31st from 11 AM to 2 PM. A funeral and interment service will follow the visitation on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. David Schoch officiating.
The family extends special thanks for the care and compassion given to Charlie to Ray of Hope and Covenant House Day Care, along with Western Maryland Health Systems Emergency Room and PCU Unit.
