Carol Lynn (Braithwaite) Wilson of Savage River Road passed away on June 22, 2020.

Born in Franklin on September 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Braithwaite. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her four brothers, William, Robert, Johnny and Donald Braithwaite, a sister, Judy Mayhew, a granddaughter, Meghan Cavey and a great grandson, Jonathan T. Werking.

Carol was a loving mother to all. She was a homemaker and along with her husband raised eight children. She was previously employed at a nursing home as a CNA and at Bausch and Lomb for 18 years. Carol loved flowers, her deck at her home was covered with them. Carol treasured her dog and cats and affectionately called them her babies.

Carol is survived by her children, James A. Wilson of Westernport, Steven R. Wilson of Bloomington, Rose Wilson and fiancé Rossie Murray of Augusta, WV, Debra Miller and husband, Michael of LaPlata, Susan Cavey and husband, Terry of Bloomington, Jennifer Parrish and husband Carroll of Mt. Storm, WV, Daniel Wilson of Swanton and Linda Amoroso and husband, Michael of Westernport. Carol is survived by her sister, Betty Clark of Westernport. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In accordance with her wishes, Carol will be cremated and there will be no services. A memorial dinner will be held at Moran’s Lounge on Sunday, July 5 at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, cards may be sent to Daniel Wilson at 4883 Savage River Road, Swanton, MD 21561.

Boal Funeral Home, Westernport assisted the family with arrangements.
