Cumberland, Maryland

Beverly Jean Bishop, 67 of Cumberland passed away on January 25, 2024 with her loving fiancé, Vince at her side.

Born September 1, 1956, she was the daughter of the late George and Thelma (Powell) King. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Braithwaite and Charles Bishop; and a sister, Ida Mae Haines.

Beverly enjoyed time spent camping and going on cruises. She would keep busy crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and landscaping. Beverly liked watching westerns, but especially enjoyed the show Gunsmoke. 

Beverly was the love of her fiancé Vince’s life. She was his partner and better half. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. 

Beverly is survived by her fiancé, Vince Brockey; children, Harry Braithwaite, Jr. and wife Margie, Terri Henderson, and Sharon Shook. She is also survived by five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie, Eddie, Brenda and Tina; and a very special friend, Roy Droll. 

Friends will be received on Monday, January 29th at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 7:00 p.m.

Friends are welcome to celebrate Beverly's life on Saturday, February 3rd at 5:00 p.m. at Sammy's in Piedmont, WV.
