Betty Snyder

Betty L. Snyder, 72, of Westernport and Wildwood, Fla., passed away Monday, January 11, 2016.

Born April 25, 1943 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Popp) Sutherland.

Betty is of the Baptist faith. She is retired from the Mineral County School System. She was a member of the Queens Point VFW Auxiliary in McCoole. Betty wintered in Wildwood Florida since 2007. She enjoyed gardening, reading, Bingo and yard sales.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Jack; daughters, Kathy Paugh of Dennison, OH and Karen Paugh and husband Charlie of Keyser, WV; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Carolyn Jean Pfarr and husband Ed of Ocala, Fla., Judith Durr of Cross, WV, William Sutherland and wife Cindy of Frederick, Robert Sutherland of Rochseter, NY, Donna Johnston and husband John of Germantown, Donald Sutherland and wife Karen of Keyser, WV, David Sutherland of Westernport, Rhonda Idleman and husband David of Elk Garden, WV, Michael Sutherland and Niola of Abingdon, Margie Sutherland of Midlothian and Thomas Sutherland of Ridgeley, WV.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
