Bennie Franklin Davis, 80, formerly of Oakland and most recently of Moran Manor, passed away May 4, 2013 at Moran Manor Nursing Center.

Born July 31, 1933, he was the son of the late William Edward Davis and Sylvia Mae (Farris) Davis. He is also preceded in death by an infant son, a son Samuel Davis and his siblings, Rev. George Davis, John Davis Sr., Thomas Davis Sr., Calvin Davis and Frances “Sissy” Warnick.

Bennie was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed taking walks through the woods. Bennie was known to his family as a famous story teller.

He is survived by his daughters, Cathy, Rhonda and Cheryl; brothers, Howard Davis and Homer Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. William Davis officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
