Barry Robert Clark, 50, of Temperance Row, Barton, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, after fighting a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 25, 1961 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of Norma (Bradley) Clark of Barton and the late Richard E. Clark.  A brother, Scott Clark, and an infant brother, Richard Clark JR, also preceded him in death.

Barry was a 1979 graduate of Valley High School and the Allegany County Vocational School, in the masonry curriculum.  He owned Barrys Home Improvement for 25 years.  He was presently the owner-operator of Circle C Coal.  Barry was Presbyterian by faith.  He was a member of Hiram Lodge #103 AF & AM, Westernport, and a member of the Georges Creek 8 Ball League.  Barry was a loving son, husband, dad and pap, and his family and friends were the light of his life.

In addition to his mother, Norma, he leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Robin (Green) Clark, a son, Adam Clark and wife Misty of Lonaconing, a daughter, Brooke Eacho and husband Stephen of Lonaconing, a grandson, Wyatt Zachary Clark, two sisters-in-law, Terri Green of Barton and Courtney Dickerson of Frostburg, two special nephews, Brad Green and Jesse Dickerson JR.  He is also survived by a special aunt, Betty Lou Grogg, a special cousin, Robin Shumate, and his best buddy, Marty Bennett and lifelong friend Alfred Hyde and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  Hiram Lodge will hold a memorial service on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Pastor William O’Haver and Pastor Ruby O’Haver, officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Zaman and staff, Dr. Watkins and staff, Dr. Gearhart of Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Schwab Family Cancer Center, the nursing staff on 7 South at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, and the Western Maryland Hospice, for the compassionate care given to Barry during his illness.
