Avanell Virts

Avanell Eleanor Virts, 96 of Swanton passed away on June 18, 2022.

Born on June 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Troxell and Myrtle (Hoopengarner) Tichnell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William J. Virts, and her son William E. Virts.

Mrs. Virts is survived by her children, Richard W. Virts and wife Gladys, and Sandi Friend and husband Bob. She is also survived by her sisters, Norma Hamilton, Wilma Layman, Mary Jane Borror; daughter-in-law, Sharon Virts; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her caregiver, Anita Lupton and husband Bob.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Wednesday, June 22nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Carl Lee officiating.

Interment will be at Virts Cemetery, Bethel.
