Arthur Junior Beavers, 81, of Walnut Street, Westernport, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, on February 4, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.
Born on July 2, 1932 in Hampshire, WV, he was the son of the late Arthur and Pearl (Platter) Beavers. He is also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Beavers was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church, Westernport for 62 years. He served as a Deacon, Youth Leader, Bible School Director, Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir and a Commander of the Royal Rangers. He also conducted Outreach Ministries throughout the area. He retired from Westvaco with 44 years of service. He held various positions until obtaining a supervisor position in the finishing room.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy (Michaels) Beavers, Westernport; his children, Jeannie Dadgostar and husband Mansoor of Berkley Springs, WV, Sue Kimble and companion Mike Leary of Woodstock, VA and Steven Beavers and wife Diane of Rawlings. He is also survived by his special grandchildren, Ladonna Denham, Lori Houghton, Michael Dadgostar, Nicholas Dadgostar, Niki Phares and husband Shannon, Chanda Rohrbaugh and husband Jarod, Mindy Evans and companion Jacob Martin, Lindsey Kimble, Matthew Kimble, Renee Latterner, Shane Beavers and Mandi Beavers. He is also survived by his special great grandchildren, Courtney Nelson, Joseph Nelson, Brett Hoeltje, Taylor Hoeltje, Kameron Dadgostar, Laurel Dadgostar, Tyler Phares, Logan Phares, Brooklin Phares, Chelsey Rohrbaugh, Jesse Rohrbaugh, Chandler Rohrbaugh, Jamie Smith, Baylee Smith, AaRaylyn Martin, Landen Swick, Lakynn Wratchford, Hunter Latterner and Brie High. He is survived by one brother, Garland Elwood Beavers and wife Martha of Westernport.
Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be conducted immediately after the visitation at 7:00 PM with Pastor Greg Hammond officiating.
