Anna Mccombs

Anna C. McCombs, 96, formerly of Luke and Westernport, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014.

Born on May 4, 1917 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late George and Harriett (Preston) Robertson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Gerald McCombs, two brothers, Charles Robertson and Randall Robertson of Barton, three sisters, Catherine Atkinson of Florida, Alice Beeman of Michigan, and Elizabeth Kyle of Barton.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wiltison and husband Robert of Westernport, a granddaughter, Debra Welch-Breeding and husband Matt of Cumberland, and a grandson, Sean Wiltison and wife Mindy of Barton.  She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Nicholas Welch and girlfriend Laurie Bailey of Lonaconing, Kylie Lynn Wiltison of Barton, two sisters, Phyllis Stafford of Michigan and Lillian McFarland of Cresaptown, and numerous special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Also adding joy to Ann’s life was spending holidays and special occasions with extended family Ron and Mary Welch and their children David Welch and Sherri Kalbaugh.  Ann will be missed by her new friend, Margaret Calhoun of Keyser, WV.

Ann and her large family enjoyed sharing Sunday dinners, long walks looking for mushrooms and summers at Deep Creek Lake.  She was known for her beautiful roses and the meticulous care with which she tended to them.  We will miss you Mema.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 6 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport, at a later date.
