Alvin Dale Beeman

Alvin Dale Beeman, 79, of Barton, MD, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024. 

Born May 31, 1944, he was the son of the late Dewey Thomas Beeman and Marie Dorothy Beeman.

Dale is preceded in death by his loving wife, Debbie, of 54 years. Dale is survived by his sons, Tim and his wife, Donna, of Lonaconing, and their children, Alex and wife Alexandra, State College, PA and Lawren (Beeman) Hughes and husband Brant, California, MD; son, Steve and his wife, Cindy, of LaVale, and their children, Adam and Mason, along with numerous other family members and friends. 

Dale was a graduate of Valley High School. He was retired from the Allegany County Roads Division. He also worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company and the Laborers Union, Cumberland, MD. He was also a member of the Barton United Methodist Church in Barton, and a former member of the Barton Volunteer Fire Department. 

Dale cherished his time spent with his grandchildren, especially the many times spent making “box houses” on their carport. Dale enjoyed spending time working in his woodshop practicing skills that would later be passed down to his sons. He also had a strong interest in cars which was vividly displayed in his younger years. Dale also cherished the bond he had with his dog, Cody. 

Dale never knew a stranger. It was to the amazement of his boys that wherever they traveled, dad always knew someone.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on April 6 at, the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, Maryland. A short service will be afterwards for immediate family only. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at the Egle Nursing and Rehab for the care and compassion Dale received during his stay.
