Agnes O. Price, 87, of Piedmont, WV was called home on February 2nd, 2023, at UPMC in Cumberland, MD.
Born August 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frances Alan and Ameline (Honore) Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her brother Edmond Jacobs, sister Cecilia Frances, daughter Lillian 'Rainey' Price, and great granddaughter Naudia Price.
Agnes was a retiree of the Westvaco Clubhouse. She was also an avid member of the Walden United Methodist Church. Agnes enjoyed watching her westerns, soap operas and movies such as The Bodyguard. Agnes has a heart for others while continuously volunteering for various community activities and nursing homes, all while competing in her favorite Senior Olympics. Always dressed to impress, Agnes always accessorized with her favorite color and beads.
She was a loving and caring sister, mother and grandmother, and a friend to everyone; not knowing a stranger. Affectionately known as Mom, Mudder, Aggie, Nanny, and Aggie Boo she was the matriarch and center of her family and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely. Even with her grandkids spread across several states, she stayed involved in every aspect of their lives through her sometimes daily or weekly update phone calls. She never missed a birthday, often sending cards in advance and accompanied by a phone call singing 'Happy Birthday'. She will be remembered for her wit, her sense of humor, her unique use of words & names, her dance moves, and for always living her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her children, Clifton Price, William C. Price Jr, Frederick Price and wife Nickole, Eric Price, Lisa Price, Rena Price, and David Price and wife Teresa. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jailynne Price, Jessica Taylor, William C. Price III, Joshua Blowe, Jasmin Price, Andrea Harlan, Keith Johnson, EJ Price, Jackie Price, Brittany Price, Brandon Price, Janell Price, Chelsea Price, Cori Huston, Tyler Price, Jennae Price, Tanisha Gaither, and Cameron Price. Agnes also was survived by her 26 great grandchildren, sister's Barbara Thornton-Smith and Mary Lacy, special niece Patricia McKinney and her best friend Leola 'Boots' Stewart; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends and family will be received at Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont WV on Saturday, February 11th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marybeth Chien officiating.
Interment will be held at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser WV.
