Phillip "Bill" Hays

Phillip William “Bill” Hays, 86 of Westernport passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Born February 25, 1936, he was the son of the late William Abner and Helena (Jonosha) Hays.

Bill retired from Westvaco after 45 years of employment. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Westernport. Bill was also a member of the Hiram Lodge #103 A.F. and A.M., as well as the Ali Ghan Shrine Temple.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia (Schramm) Hays; his children, Brian Hays and wife, Leda of Pittsburgh, PA, Heather Raschella of Keyser, WV, Stephen Hays and wife, Doni of Bluemont, VA; and a sister, Regina Schramm and husband, Joe of Rawlings. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah, Gillian, Abigail and Sophia Hays, Rachel Raschella, and Alex and Caitlyn Hays; and great grandchildren, Caden Chelednik and Logan Kauffman. Bill is survived by close friends and caretakers, Eric and Vicki Alexander, Johnathan Worgan, Dana Canterbury, and Leah Myers.

In accordance with his wishes, funeral services will be private.

Bill’s family would like to extend a thank you for the compassionate care that he had received from the caretakers of the Tri-State Agency.
