Norma Jean Fazenbaker, 88 of Swanton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Sussex, New Jersey.
Born in Beryl, West Virginia on April 22, 1931, she was the first born of the late James and Hattie (Harsh) Walker.
Jean, as she was known by most friends and family, attended the United Methodist Church in Bloomington, MD. She loved spending time with family, especially enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean always loved shopping, a good BINGO game and the Game Show Network.
Jean’s husband of 59 years, Dorsey Franklin Fazenbaker, passed away on February 29, 2012. Jean was also preceded in death by her brothers Donnie Walker, Bill Walker and Bob Walker and her sisters Mildred Harris and MaryLou Stewart.
Jean leaves behind her sister, Helen Lucas and two sons: Dorsey Franklin Jr. and wife Diane of New Jersey; Timmy Ray and wife Janice of New Jersey; seven grandchildren: Sherri Callaghan (Todd); Brec Wojtas (Bernie); Matthew Fazenbaker; Taylor Fazenbaker; Stephanie Coulote (Omar); Timothy Fazenbaker (Nikki) and Jordan Fazenbaker. Jean is also survived by six great grandchildren: Cole Callaghan; Benson Wojtas; Nathan Coulote; Mila Coulote; Faye Coulote and Calum Fazenbaker as well as her sister-in-law, Jenny Walker.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD on Saturday morning July 20th at 10am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am
Interment will be at the Bloomington Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in Bloomington, MD.
